Your Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret large-scale genomics data, including long- and short-read sequencing and optical mapping
• Build and refine reproducible data pipelines for internal and external project needs
• Collaborate with wet-lab scientists on experimental design and data-driven troubleshooting
• Integrate multi-omics data and develop clear, actionable insights
• Stay current with bioinformatics tools and literature, continuously improving analytical approaches

We Are Looking For

• PhD or MSc with 3+ years of experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field
• Hands-on experience in NGS data analysis (e.g. WGS, RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, microbial or viral genome analysis)
• Proficient in Python or R for data analysis and visualisation
• Comfortable in Linux/Unix environments and experienced in version control (e.g. Git)
• Strong communication skills in English

Bonus Points For

• Experience with long-read sequencing (PacBio/ONT), de novo assembly, or structural variant analysis
• Familiarity with workflow managers (Nextflow, Snakemake), containerization (e.g. Docker), or cloud computing
• A track record of scientific publications or presentations
• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working alongside lab scientists
• Interest or experience in applying machine learning to bioinformatics problems
