For our client, a major international financial institution, we are currently looking for an Agile coach:

Job Description


What to Expect:

As an Agile Coach, you will be a driving force behind the planning units success and a key contributor to further evolving our Agile capabilities. You will support to resolve specific issues arising in the teams and further maturing the overall Agile way of working of the Planning Unit.


In this role, you will:

• Work with the Leadership, driving the planning units success and ensuring our Agile capabilities are both maturing and continuous evolving (or challenged) in line with the planning units ambitions.

• Be a shaper and guardian of the ‘culture’.

• Ensure the right information is surfaced (through dashboards) and drives actions at leadership level and in planning unit events.

• Own the set up and efficiency of planning unit events


What will make you successful?

• Deep knowledge of Agile & DevOps principles, techniques/tools, and processes, with practical hands-on experience and ability to own and drive things forward

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and develop solutions.

• Team player who helps manage the efficient operations of the leadership team on top of the planning unit at large, ensuring there is consistency, timely follow up of agreed leadership action items as well as regular executive reporting

• Proven experience in managing and mentoring teams, both in-person and virtually, using a Servant Leadership approach.

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, active listening) across all levels, from team members to senior management.

• Assertiveness in driving tasks to completion.

• Expertise in facilitation techniques for groups of any size, with the ability to design, execute, and achieve positive outcomes through tribe ceremonies and other facilitation methods.

• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, understanding that successful outcomes often require considering all perspectives.

• Lifelong learner, continuously building skills in yourself and those around you.

• Practical experience in a software development/IT delivery environment.


We are seeking professionals who:

• Act as a sparring partner to leadership, providing coaching and feedback. Develop a vision for the Agile way of working, considering business needs, and mentor leadership on Agile/DevOps concepts, values, and principles. Catalyze organizational change and optimize new ways of working.

• Focus on outcome-driven delivery, actively contributing to success and achievements. Increase people engagement, instill a culture of tracking business performance, effectively run events, and remove roadblocks to success. Co-drive the definition of the planning unit vision, lead the planning unit to define clear and ambitious OKRs, and visualize them to create focus and engagement. Identify root causes of problems, define action plans, follow up until resolution, and share learnings organization-wide.

• Role model the Agile way of working, live by Agile values, and continuously build skills. Stay informed on Agile practices across the community and bring outside knowledge in. Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, ensuring they are consulted and informed when needed.

• Actively contribute to driving enterprise-wide agility. Expand and link business and Agile methodology expertise, apply this expertise, and ensure the development and exchange of knowledge within the organization and among relevant stakeholders.

• Enjoy working in a hybrid environment, up till 2 days working from home is allowed.
