Who are we looking for?

We’re seeking a Senior Software Developer to contribute technical expertise to the development of innovative products and services for our clients. This role will ensure all technical deliverables assigned to the role are met according to agreed milestones and act as the subject matter expert in areas of software development and cloud solutions.

In this dynamic role you will:

• Contribute technical expertise to the development of innovative products/services for our clients.
• Ensure all technical deliverables assigned to the role are met according to agreed milestones.
• Act as the subject matter expert in areas of software development and cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with domain experts (Geotech and civil engineers) to help define client needs and build the right capabilities into our products/services.
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using .NET Core and related technologies.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Implement scalable and reliable cloud solutions on the Azure platform.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
• Proactively update your manager on work progress, improvement opportunities, potential issues, and other relevant information.
• Produce professional and high-quality written reports, documentation, communication, and presentations as required.
• Continually build your knowledge of GHD’s business and technologies and keep up to date on industry trends and technology trends.
  
  

What you will bring to the team:

• Proficiency in C# programming language and .NET Core.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with Microsoft’s ecosystem, Azure DevOps, SQL Server, SQL DB.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) is a plus.
• Understanding of development and/or integration of modern front-end web development languages, frameworks, and networking systems.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Complex problem-solving and analytical skills, critical thinking.
  
  

Experience and Qualifications:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other relevant discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in a professional software team delivering industry-grade software solutions.
• Experience in design, development, and deployment of modular solution architectures – cloud and/or on-prem solutions.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft’s ecosystem - Azure DevOps development pipelines, Azure cloud resource experience.
