Who We Are

By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.

What You'll Be Doing

• Implementing Release Management strategy, processes, and policies and executing them effectively.
• Applying ITIL principles and disciplines to the release process.
• Taking control of the complete Release Management lifecycle, ensuring successful execution.
• Receiving and processing requests for releases, classifying and prioritizing based on importance, impact, and complexity.
• Assessing the risk and technical impact associated with changes and ensuring the appropriate technical team is engaged.
• Planning, coordinating, and prioritizing releases, tracking and reporting on fulfillment.
• Participating in review boards to analyze the success of releases and process improvements.
• Reporting on release metrics, including volume, types, and failure rates.
• Ensuring minimal disruption when introducing changes to live production environments.
• Maintaining standardized methods and procedures for efficient handling of releases.
  
  
  

What You'll Bring Along

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Extensive experience in change control and release management within IT service environments.
• Strong ITIL knowledge (ITIL certification preferred).
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated release processes.
• Proven ability to analyze processes and recommend improvements.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure (a plus).
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills to assess release risks and impacts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across cross-functional teams.
• Proactive and detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality assurance.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English (any other European language would be a plus).
