Pay: $38-48/hr


Must haves:

3+ years of experience as a Product Designer building and shipping consumer-facing or enterprise products

• Demonstrated experience designing for eCommerce platforms or digital marketplaces

• Experience working at large retail companies or large enterprise (non-banking preferred)

• Direct experience in short-term, high-context-switching environments (contract work preferred)

• Proficiency in Figma for both design and prototyping

• Strong portfolio showcasing scalable, accessible designs and clear rationale behind design decisions

• Experience working on cross-functional teams in an agile environment


Nice to have:

• Familiarity with AODA and inclusive design best practices

• Experience contributing to or leveraging a design system

• Background in digital grocery, retail, or online marketplace platforms


Job Description:

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join a large digital retail client on a hybrid basis in downtown Toronto. This role will sit on the Buy Domain team, working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and fellow Designers to enhance the end-to-end buying experience across digital platforms.


The Senior Product Designer will be responsible for conducting discovery and research, leading user-centered design sessions, and delivering intuitive and scalable design solutions that directly impact conversion and engagement. They will work in Figma to create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes, while actively contributing to and evolving the organization’s design system.


This is a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is curious, data-informed, and confident in navigating ambiguous problems with strong design thinking and communication skills.


Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define problems and translate them into measurable design goals

• Lead end-to-end interaction and visual design work including journey maps, service blueprints, wireframes, and final UI designs

• Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in design, applying AODA standards and inclusive design best practices

• Conduct user research and usability testing, iterating based on feedback and performance data

• Leverage and contribute to a growing design system, proposing scalable solutions for undefined patterns

• Act as a design advocate within the team and organization, mentoring others and promoting UX best practices
