Senior Project Manager

• Initial 12 Month Contract With 12 Month Extension

The Role: This Government Authority is seeking a Project Manager to lead and manage an end-to-end project to deliver a Digital Portal & Website Upgrade.

The Responsibilities:

• Lead and drive the implementation of data initiatives to agreed levels of delivery scope, product quality, cost, and timing - within the agreed governance and delivery mechanisms.
• Work closely with Change Specialists and Business Leaders to ensure that any change impact resulting from the initiative is accurately assessed and addressed.
• Work closely with the Portfolio Accountant, Resource Lead and the Delivery teams to ensure project financials, estimates and forecasts are of high quality and accuracy.
• Ensure that delivery ceremonies and events are coordinated across teams, in accord with the prevailing delivery methods.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery methods, collaboration, and delivered solutions.

Skills & Experience Required:

• 7 years proven experience as Project Manager with prior experience of delivering Digital Portals or Website upgrade projects.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of traditional project management frameworks and best practices.
• Highly developed leadership, people management skills to mentor and engage team members to meet project objectives including deadlines.
• Proven strong communication, and negotiation skills to initiate and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
• Prior experience within the Public Sector is strongly desirable.
