Are you a visionary leader with a passion for transforming how global organizations manage and leverage product data? Do you thrive in strategic roles where you can define the big picture, influence cross-functional teams, and drive digital transformation? Are you ready to lead the evolution of Product Master Data at SKF, ensuring consistency, integration, and innovation across our global operations?
Then you might be the transformative leader we’re looking for.
Product Master Data Owner
Your Mission:
As the Product Master Data Owner, you will be the strategic owner of Product Master Data at SKF. This is not an operational data management role — it’s about setting the vision, defining the roadmap, and enabling the organization to execute on a world-class data strategy. You’ll work closely with sub-domain leaders across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales/Marketing to ensure our product data models and standards support our digital future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the vision for Product Master Data across SKF’s global operations.
- Lead the development of information models, structures, and standards in collaboration with sub-domain experts.
- Drive the digitalization roadmap for Product Master Data, aligning with enterprise architecture and business goals.
- Ensure strategic alignment of product data across systems, processes, and business units.
- Act as a thought leader and advisor to senior stakeholders on product data governance and modeling.
- Build strong networks across the organization to foster collaboration and adoption of best practices.
- Guide and support teams without getting stuck in operational details.
What We’re Looking For:
- A university degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Master Data Management, with a focus on Product Lifecycle and enterprise-level data modeling for engineered products.
- Strong understanding of PIM (Product Information Management) or DAM (Digital Asset Management) systems.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to see the big picture and influence at all levels.
- Experience working in complex, global organizations with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills — you inspire, align, and drive change.
- Background in industries such as automotive, heavy industry, or manufacturing is a bonus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
SKF is committed to creating a diverse environment, and we firmly believe that a diverse workforce is essential for our continued success. Therefore, we only focus on your experience, skills, and potential. Come as you are – just be yourself. #weareSKF
Why join SKF?
- Be part of a global, innovative company driving digital transformation.
- Work in an international and agile environment with diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Take on a strategic role with real impact on the future of SKF’s data landscape.
- Enjoy a collaborative culture that values vision, leadership, and innovation.
