Product Manager - DEX / DeFi Trading
Type: Full-time
Compensation: $140–160k + tokens
Building in crypto isn’t for the faint of heart—it’s fast-moving and unpredictable. One day, the team’s creating something groundbreaking, and the next, they’re adapting to market shifts or troubleshooting unexpected issues. This company is looking for a Product Manager who can navigate that chaos with focus and excitement. Someone who loves the challenge of solving problems, translating user needs, and keeping the team moving—even when things get messy.
This isn’t a role for someone who’s content with managing tasks in nice, neat boxes. It’s for someone who sees the bigger picture but also knows how to break it down into actionable pieces; someone who’s passionate about shipping real, usable features but isn’t afraid of the grind that comes with getting them just right. You’ll help guide technical delivery and collaborate on shaping products that genuinely matter to users—not just another set of flashy features to fill a roadmap.
The company already has a strong foundation with its DEX and crypto trading platform, but the goal isn’t to settle. They’re in growth mode, focused on releasing meaningful features and staying ahead as the crypto world continues to evolve. If you’re the kind of person who gets excited about digging into the details, steering cross-functional teams, and being part of a pivotal stage in a company’s journey, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
Drive Product Delivery
You’ll own the delivery pipeline for new features and updates, from brainstorming to rollout. That means figuring out what’s working and, just as importantly, where systems and processes are breaking down—and fixing them.
Collaborate With Engineers
While you don’t need to be an engineer yourself, you’ll need to really understand the technical side of things. You’ll work closely with the devs to identify constraints, find compromises, and make clear, informed decisions when trade-offs come into play.
Shape Product Strategy
A big part of this job is finding the sweet spot between technical feasibility, user needs, and business goals. Of course, that’s easier said than done, especially in a space as fast-moving as crypto. Plans will change sometimes—probably more than you’d like—but your focus should always stay on delivering value to users.
Build Stuff That Matters
Whether it’s expanding DEX functionality, creating new tools for traders, or tailoring offerings to specific markets, you’ll drive these efforts from concept all the way through execution and launch.
Keep Everyone Aligned
Cross-functional work can get messy, especially when different opinions start pulling in opposite directions. Part of your role is creating clarity—bridging gaps between teams and ensuring that everyone’s working toward the same goals.
Stay Ahead on Trends
The crypto and DeFi worlds change fast, and user needs evolve just as quickly. You’ll play a key role in monitoring and adapting to shifting trends—whether that’s a new craze in tokenomics or emerging tools that traders are suddenly hungry for.
Evaluate Success (and Learn From Failure)
Not every product launch will be perfect—far from it—but you’ll own the responsibility for defining success and measuring outcomes. Is it driving user growth? Boosting revenue? Improving platform performance? It's up to you to ask the hard questions, make adjustments where needed, and keep the team accountable to meaningful metrics.
Who You Are
Perfect candidates don’t exist, and the team doesn’t expect you to tick every box. Still, they’re looking for someone who thrives under pressure and has a mix of the following strengths:
- Background in Product Management
- You’ve worked in product-focused roles before, especially around shipping complex software. Previous experience in crypto or blockchain is a huge plus, but if you're sharp and eager to learn fast, they'll give you the chance to prove yourself.
- Experience With Delivery Pipelines
- You know what it takes to ship features—working closely with designers, engineers, and team leads to move things forward without getting stuck in the weeds.
- Understanding of Blockchain and DeFi
- No need to be a crypto savant, but you should grasp concepts like liquidity pools, automated market makers (AMMs), and why scalability matters.
- Builder’s Mindset
- You don’t just talk big-picture strategy; you know how to execute step-by-step and iterate as needed. If problems come up, you don’t freeze—they push you to find solutions faster.
- Calm Under Pressure
- Crypto moves fast, plans change, and priorities shift. The team needs someone who can stay grounded, adapt on the fly, and still deliver work that counts—even if the original roadmap has been thrown out the window.
- 4–6+ Years in Relevant Roles
- Whether you’ve been a Product Manager, a delivery lead, or something else entirely, you’ve got hands-on experience driving teams and projects toward real-world results.
