At eXpace, we’re reimagining the future of urban mobility—starting with one of the biggest city driving frustrations: parking. Our mobile-first platform helps drivers find, book, pay for, and access parking in seconds.

We’ve launched our MVP and activated our first smart parking locations in Dubai. Backed by a bold roadmap for 2025 and a lean team of 15, we’re now expanding our engineering team. We're looking for a Kotlin-savvy engineer ready to take ownership, ship real features, and help scale a product already in users' hands.

This is an exciting time to join—you’ll be coming in at a phase where your work will shape the product, architecture, and user experience.

What you’ll work on

As part of our engineering team, you’ll be building and refining a cross-platform app that serves both drivers and parking operators. You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend engineers to deliver new features and improve performance across Android, iOS, and Web.

You’ll:

• Build user interfaces using Compose Multiplatform
• Integrate and extend Google Maps and geolocation features
• Craft smooth animations and transitions to create delightful user experiences
• Implement offline-first logic and sync strategies for reliability
• Write clean, testable code and maintain a shared codebase
• Collaborate on architecture, design, and system improvements
• Participate in code reviews, team planning, and product discussions
• Help shape development standards as the team grows

Our Tech Stack

We work in a Kotlin-first, multiplatform environment that keeps things simple, scalable, and efficient:

• Jetpack Compose & Compose Multiplatform (Android, iOS, Web)
• Kotlin Multiplatform for shared logic
• Native APIs bridged via Kotlin/Native for iOS integration
• AWS Serverless backend using Kotlin (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3)
• CI/CD via GitHub Actions, Infrastructure as Code, and modern testing frameworks

What we're looking

We’re hiring for skill, curiosity, and ownership—not years of experience. You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have real-world experience building apps with Kotlin
• Have worked with Jetpack Compose, or are eager to master Compose Multiplatform
• Have experience (or strong interest) in iOS development, either natively (Swift) or via multiplatform tools
• Understand how to debug, test, and ship production-ready features
• Enjoy working closely with product and design to deliver great UX
• Are pragmatic, curious, and proactive in solving problems
• Are excited about working in a fast-moving startup with real users and real impact

Bonus points if you:

• You've worked on iOS apps (in Swift or KMM contexts)
• Have worked with AWS services, especially in serverless environments
• Know about offline-first patterns, coroutines, dependency injection
• Have contributed to shared or cross-platform codebases
• Enjoy mentoring or supporting other engineers
