We are currently recruiting for an interesting DevOps Engineer role working for a major Financial Client based in Zoeterwoude, Netherlands:

Duration: 6 months + extensions

Location: Zoeterwoude (Hybrid Working- 2 days onsite per week)

Pay rate: Negotiable (Please indicate your current net/gross salary)

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer with a robust background in computer science and software engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development and Automation: Design and implement automation and services in the Openshift/Kubernetes ecosystem using advanced software engineering principles.
• Operator Development: Develop Openshift/Kubernetes operators using Go, Java, or C++ to enhance functionality and integration.
• Monitoring and Security Controls: Develop robust monitoring solutions and security controls within the Openshift/Kubernetes environment.
• Maintenance and Upgrades: Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades of Openshift/Kubernetes clusters to optimize performance.
• Software Releases and Test Automation: Automate software release processes and develop comprehensive test automation to ensure reliability and scalability.

Role Requirements:

• Solid Foundation in Computer Science and Software Engineering: Must have 5+ years of experience with a solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Programming Skills: Technical expertise in Python, Java, C++, or Go development is required (2-5 years).
• Linux and IDE Experience: Proficient with Linux OS and integrated development environments (2-5 years).
• Containerization and Version Control: Must have at least 2 years of experience with Docker and Git.
• Problem Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of development design patterns.
• Experience with RHEL, Openshift, or generic Kubernetes platforms.
• Deployment automation using ArgoCD.
• Kubernetes application development and/or administration.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and scripting.
• Experience developing metrics for Prometheus, Metrics, or Elastic Monitoring
