In this role, you will lead the General Accounting Department, ensuring timely and accurate financial and business closings and reporting for the Northern Europe region. You will be responsible for driving compliance with internal policies and external regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Provide leadership and professional expertise to the Common Shared Services Finance General Accounting & Transactional Tax team, ensuring service delivery to assigned business partners in alignment with service level agreements.
  • Promote process excellence by leading a team focused on creating, standardizing, maintaining, and optimizing processes within the area of responsibility.
  • Fully manage human resource planning, recruitment, and development.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial and business closing, as well as reporting of Financials and Key performance indicators related to General Accounting.
  • Ensure consistent application of internal control systems within the area of responsibility, working closely with control owners to develop and enhance controls and processes.
  • Oversee the implementation of new tools and best practices to drive productivity.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with business partners.
  • Implement the strategic roadmap and operational plan as defined by the Global Process Owner and Finance Delivery Lead.

Your Background

  • Education: Higher education in Finance
  • Experience: Min 5 years of previous experience in leading or coordinating a team (preferably in Finance Common Shared Services)
  • Soft skills:
    • Well-organized and able to work towards deadlines
    • Ability to create an atmosphere of collaboration and trust
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage and motivate team members
    • Efficient, proactive, self-motivated and target driven
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, readiness to adapt to changing environment
  • Hard skills
    • Excellent written and spoken skills in English
    • Very good MS Excel knowledge
    • Knowledge of SAP, Tagetik and Blackline is an advantage
