Data Scientist – Cloud Engineering, Data Science & Statistics

We are currently looking for a Data Scientist with a strong background in cloud engineering, data science, and statistics, for a data-intensive project involving advanced modeling and analytical insights.

Your profile:

• Proficient in both traditional data science (ML, metrics, statistics) and new-generation approaches (Generative AI, LLMs)
• Solid experience delivering data science projects with real-world data
• Advanced use of Databricks
• Strong experience in cloud-based data engineering and statistical modeling
• Proven expertise in transforming complex data into actionable insights
• Comfortable working with advanced data transformation pipelines
• Experience with Azure Data Platform components (Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake Gen2)
• Background in Medallion Architecture and Data Lakehouse paradigms
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Rigorous, result-oriented, and focused on customer needs

Your skills:

• Expert in data manipulation using Python, pyspark, SQL, and cloud technologies
• Strong expertise in statistics for data analysis, modeling, and inference
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Generative AI, including OpenAI APIs, LangChain, and prompt engineering
• Strong knowledge of Databricks and the Azure ecosystem (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake gen2, Azure Functions, LogicApps, etc.)
• Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
• Experience with data modeling and governance tools (e.g., Profisee, Purview)
• Languages: English (mandatory); Spanish and French (welcome)
• Experience in backend development using FastAPI

Good to have:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Experience with DevOps methodologies
• Experience with networking
• Experience with frontend frameworks (Typescipt, React, Next)
• Familiarity with streaming and batch workflows (Kafka, Delta Live Tables, Eventhouse, etc.)
• Exposure to NoSQL systems and event-driven architectures
• Understanding of the MLflow lifecycle and model registry
• Certifications: Azure DP-203, AZ-104, AZ-305; Databricks Data Engineering Associate
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric
