About The Role

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Java Engineer to join our team. You'll be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation, testing, and maintenance of applications.

Your work will be crucial in ensuring our applications are reliable, secure, manageable, scalable, extensible, and high-performing. You'll act as a technical expert in architecture, design, and implementation, actively collaborating with both technical and business teams to deliver excellent software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of concepts, design, development, testing, and maintenance of applications, ensuring adherence to standards for reliability, security, manageability, scalability, extensibility, performance, and reusability.
• Provide technical expertise in architecture, design, and implementation, guiding the team in choosing the best solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to develop high-quality software that meets requirements and expectations.
• Determine the best implementation to meet the Application Architect's design, ensuring technical feasibility and resource optimization.
• Ensure thorough and effective unit and component testing.
• Set and adhere to software coding and style guides to ensure consistency and standardization.
• Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to style standards and code quality.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Solid experience in software engineering development, with specific experience in Java/J2EE.
• Robust understanding of Java and in-depth knowledge of other Java technologies, including Servlets, JSP, JDBC, and other J2EE technologies.
• Familiarity with XML, XSD, and XSL.
• Experience in object-oriented design, applying design patterns, and familiarity with UML.
• Hands-on SQL/RDBMS experience, with a strong preference for Oracle.
• Full lifecycle development experience on large projects, creating distributed and scalable e-commerce systems.
• Experience in developing and driving SOA strategies within large enterprises and deploying SOA implementations to production is a big plus.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills.

A reasonable estimate of the current range for a Java Engineer is from 70 to 145k per year.
