Nutanix Systems Engineer (Luxembourg)

Location: On-site position based in Luxembourg (50% on-site presence required).

Role Description

We are looking for experienced Nutanix Systems Engineers to join a long-term infrastructure project for a European Institution in Luxembourg. This is a full-time role with a requirement to be on-site 50% of the time. The selected candidates will support the deployment and operation of a high-security digital infrastructure built on Nutanix Hyperconverged technology.

This project involves setting up a computing cluster, supporting a wide ecosystem of solutions — from digital forensics to Big Data — and working in a partially air-gapped environment with no external internet connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy Nutanix-based virtual environments.
• Provide expert advice and technical studies on systems infrastructure.
• Deliver architectural input, vision documents, and risk analysis.
• Ensure operation and maintenance of infrastructure according to SLAs and ITSM best practices.
• Deliver 2nd and 3rd level technical support, and participate in incident resolution.
• Create and maintain operational procedures for backup, restore, and monitoring.
• Contribute to a secure, reliable, 24/7 IT service environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (design, implementation, and operation).
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or systems administration.
• Proficiency with infrastructure monitoring and standard management tools.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, multilingual environment.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Preferred Skills

• General knowledge of networking and ICT infrastructure.
• Experience in a second technical area (e.g., Security, Network).
• Familiarity with Citrix and other Nutanix components.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
• Experience with IT automation tools.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong background in enterprise-level infrastructure projects.
