Role Description


We are looking for experienced a Senior Performance Engineer to drive end-to-end performance improvements across a complex, enterprise environment for a European Institution in Luxembourg. This is a full-time role with a requirement to be on-site 50% of the time.


Key Responsibilities


  • Establish/document performance baselines; uncover and remediate bottlenecks across client→backend paths; run load testing; contribute to capacity planning.
  • Build a standard tooling approach for measurement, monitoring, and reporting; produce clear technical docs and partner with infra/app/database/network stakeholders.


Environment (you’ll touch)


  • Network & Edge: Cisco network devices, Fortinet firewalls, F5 load balancers.
  • Systems: RHEL (core), Windows Server.
  • Apps (IBM & Web): IBM FileNet, BAW (Business Automation Workflow), Case Manager, WebSphere, Apache.
  • Infra: Network, storage, Nutanix.


Tooling & Methods


  • System: iostat, vmstat, htop.
  • DB (Oracle): OEM, AWR, tkprof, SQL trace.
  • App/Load: JMeter, web application monitoring.
  • Monitoring (advantage): Nagios (incl. webinject live checks).

Qualifications


  • 8+ years in systems/application performance engineering with strong Linux performance tuning & scripting; proven work across complex enterprise stacks listed above.
  • Clear communicator; structured documentation; collaborates with Business/DDS/DBA/NETWORK/INFRA/SaaS teams; excellent English.
