Senior Software Engineer - Golang

About the Role:

• As a Senior Software Engineer within the Financial Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend applications using Golang.
• You’ll help revamp the legacy lending system with a focus on platformization, extensibility, testability, and scalability.
• You’ll collaborate closely with product, business, and vendor teams to gather requirements, manage ambiguity, and integrate the lending platform with third-party solutions.
• This is a hands-on technical role where you'll contribute to architecture discussions and influence technical direction in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• You will be fully embedded in the engineering team, participating in regular sprint planning and development activities, based out of the Singapore office for the duration of the 12-month contract engagement.

About the Requirements:

• 5–15 years of industry experience in backend engineering, with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in Golang.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, including concurrency, synchronization (mutex, waitgroup), and performance optimization.
• Solid experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
• Familiarity with technologies like Kubernetes (K8s), Redis, Aerospike, and MySQL.
• Proven track record of deploying scalable and reliable backend systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work across cross-functional teams and clearly convey technical concepts.
• Experience in the Lending or Fintech domain.
• Exposure to integrating with LMS platforms such as Mambu.
• Flexibility to support additional tasks or responsibilities as needed by the team.
