The Opportunity

We're urgently supporting a major publishing group on a mission-critical EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation) compliance programme - and they need a freelance Technical Project Manager to take charge of system integration and third-party onboarding.

The project is already live, running at pace, and pressure from regulators and internal stakeholders is high. You'll be the integration lead - connecting systems, working with external data providers, and ensuring smooth delivery of compliant data flows across multiple European teams.

Key Priorities

1. System Integration

• Lead integration across a network of 3rd party suppliers and internal systems
• Hands-on delivery experience with data mapping, RESTful APIs, and transformation flows
• Workato platform is being introduced - prior experience is highly desirable

1. External Supplier Coordination

• Act as the key interface between tech teams and external data partners
• Manage onboarding processes and technical delivery across a fast-moving ecosystem

1. Fluent German

• Critical for internal and external stakeholder communication
• You'll be working across Germany, Poland, and the UK

1. Hybrid in Hamburg

• Regular travel to Hamburg required
• Some wider travel across Germany/EU depending on stakeholder needs

Tech & Tools

• Integration tooling: Workato (ideal), RESTful APIs, system interoperability
• PM tools: Monday.com, Jira, Confluence, MS Project
• Frameworks: Agile/Scrum & Waterfall mix
• Data: EUDR, DDS submission, GDPR/security compliance

Requirements

• Several years in technical project management roles (integration focus)
• Experience working with external vendors/suppliers at scale
• Strong understanding of regulated environments (EUDR, supply chain transparency, or sustainability)
• Excellent stakeholder management and clear communication skills
• Fluent German & English (Polish helpful)
