Security Architect

Our Leading Financial Services client is looking for a Security Architect to join their team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping and implementing security strategies across complex technology environments, with a particular focus on Cloudera platforms and associated big data technologies. This is a daily rate contract role offering excellent daily rates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain enterprise security architecture aligned with the organisation’s business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the design and implementation of secure solutions, integrating security best practices into technical architecture and infrastructure.
• Provide expert input into the security design of Cloudera-based data platforms and ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and threat modelling for new and existing systems.
• Collaborate with IT, data engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to ensure security is embedded into all stages of the development lifecycle.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and controls in cloud, data, and application environments.
• Stay up to date with the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory developments relevant to the financial services sector.

Essential Experience:

• Proven experience working as a Security Architect in a large-scale enterprise environment, preferably within financial services.
• Strong expertise in designing and securing Cloudera environments (e.g., CDP, Cloudera Manager, Ranger, Atlas, etc.).
• Deep understanding of security frameworks, principles, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
