Mobile Technical Lead (Android)

Location: Cracow, Poland (Hybrid) – 3 days a week onsite

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor an Android engineering team, ensuring delivery of high‑quality, large‑scale apps.
• Work closely with product, design, and analytics in an agile environment.
• Shape architecture, review code, set quality standards, and manage technical debt.
• Build features with modern stacks (Kotlin, Jetpack, Coroutines/Rx, Hilt/Dagger).
• Drive CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and performance optimizations.
• Contribute hands‑on to design, implementation, and documentation.

Skills & Experience

Core expertise:

• Senior/lead experience in Android development (7+ years overall, 3+ years in a senior role).
• Advanced knowledge of Java and Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio.
• Proficiency in Jetpack libraries, Material Design, and custom view development.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, networking, and dependency injection (Dagger/Hilt).
• Skilled in MVVM or Clean Architecture, background processing, multi‑threading, and asynchronous programming.
• Strong with unit testing, UI automation, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with Git, Gradle, and integrating third‑party libraries/APIs.
• Understanding of Android security best practices (e.g., OWASP) and Google Play publishing guidelines.
• Experience with performance optimization, memory management, and offline data storage (Room, SQLite).
• Knowledge of push notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging, permissions model, and accessibility features.
• Bonus: experience with Android NDK, native code (C/C++), and custom animations.
