Your new role

Reporting to the Lead Data Analytics, this role sits within the Maintenance Engineering Centre of Excellence. The successful specialist will contribute to the analysis and upkeep of performance metrics, to identify opportunities to optimise performance across various operations.

• Manages the dashboards, visualisations and data models required to execute various operational activities.
  
• Engages with stakeholders to design and maintain meaningful dashboards that support the management of performance metrics.
• Troubleshoots solutions to facilitate reliable and efficient operations across the unit.
• Translates corporate objectives into actionable plans, communicating, managing and analysing the implementation of those plans, and reporting back on their progress to facilitate the delivery of our strategy.
• Drives business improvement through the measurement of performance.
• Analyses and models data to draw out insights and solutions that address hypotheses and business challenges.
• Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.
• Knows our customers and is obsessed with meeting their needs.
• Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

They are looking for individuals who have a strong data analyst background and have dashboard development experience.

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering or similar
• Advanced knowledge of SQL
• Intermediate knowledge of Power BI, R, and Python
• Strong Data Analyst background
• Prior dashboard development experience

You will be offered a good daily rate, and the opportunity to work with one of the top mining companies. The job is located in Brisbane, and is expected for 2 days in the office. The contract is up to January 2026 with the possibility of extending.
