PHP Developer

PHP Engineer / PHP Developer – 90% Remote

1or 2 days per month in Bristol - 6-month contract

We’re looking for a strong PHP Developer for a contract with an investment organisation who can commit to 2 days per month (will be 1 or 2 but must be able to do 2 on some months). You’ll need strong hands-on PHP and Front-end skills, understanding of MVC Design patterns, design principles and experience of integrating multiple data sources.

Key Skills:

• Object oriented PHP programming
• PHP web frameworks
• Limitations of PHP as a platform
• Common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
• Front-end technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• MVC design patterns
• Design principles behind a scalable application
• Accessibility and security compliance
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Creating database schemas
• SQL/NoSQL databases and query languages
• Code versioning tools, e.g. Git

This is a contract role working with an in vestment management company, The skills above are critical to be able to fully deliver on the project. The role will be a remote role, but people must be able to visit the Bristol site 1 or 2 times per month for key meetings and time with the team.
