Senior System Analyst

Job Purpose:

The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for the design, development, and optimization of technology systems that support strategic objectives across the group. The job leads the analysis and enhancement of complex systems, oversees integration initiatives, and ensures that applications are secure and scalable. The Senior Systems Analyst provides thought leadership, mentors junior analysts, and ensures high-quality delivery of IT projects aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities:

•Lead the evaluation and redesign of business systems to meet operational and strategic needs.

•Identify process inefficiencies and propose system-based solutions to improve business performance.

•Ensure solutions are user-centric, scalable, and compliant with internal standards and external regulations.

•Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of system-related projects, from requirements gathering to deployment.

•Coordinate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, vendors, and business users to ensure timely and quality delivery.

•Monitor project milestones, budgets, risks, and change requests.

•Collaborate with business units to gather requirements, define specifications, and validate solutions.

•Translate complex technical concepts into business language for stakeholders.

•Facilitate workshops, demonstrations, and solution validation sessions.

•Monitor system performance and stability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.

•Ensure availability, integrity, and security of enterprise systems through regular maintenance and audits.

•Lead root cause analysis for recurring system problems and propose long-term solutions.

•Support integration of systems with reporting tools and business intelligence platforms.

•Define data flows, assist in the development of dashboards, and ensure data accuracy and consistency.

•Collaborate with data teams to ensure systems support analytical and operational needs.

•Ensure systems comply with internal governance and industry-standard security protocols.

•Participate in audits and contribute to risk assessments related to technology platforms.

•Maintain documentation for system access, change logs, and operational procedures.

•Mentor junior analysts and team members by sharing best practices and offering technical guidance.

•Develop and deliver user guides, system documentation, and training sessions.

•Promote adoption of systems through effective change management and user engagement.

•Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.

•Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.

Requirurements:

•A minimum of 5 to 7 years working experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or application support roles.

•Experience working in mid-to-large scale enterprises or cross-functional project environments.

•Demonstrated success in managing complex system changes and integrations.

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

•Certifications such as CBAP, PMP, ITIL, or TOGAF are advantageous.
