IT Infrastructure Manager

The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for designing, planning, and directing IT infrastructure, both new and existing, from concept to implementation. The job holder is also responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and systems that ensure reliable, quality-assured, timely, and cost-effective projects from conceptualization to completion, meeting companies business objectives.

Job-Specific Responsibilities

Infrastructure Development & Architecture

• Guide the IT infrastructure team in executing infrastructure projects from concept to operation, utilizing state-of-the-art solutions and technologies.
• Maintain the security, reliability, and availability of companies IT infrastructure.
• Defines, develops, and manages a comprehensive and integrated IT Service Management (ITSM) landscape, based on best-practice processes, disciplines, and related toolsets, incl. IT asset management program.
• Design the system architecture, Including data, incl. the principles, guidelines and standards that govern the system’s design and implementation.

Workforce Digital Awareness Management

• Lead activities regarding improvement of workforce’s awareness of the business value that the Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) function provides, and continuously seeks to ensure alignment to customer needs.

Project Management

• Develop and manage project scope for IT Infrastructure projects, including planning, definition, verification, and change control, to minimize scope creep.
• Develop and implement time and cost management processes, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget without compromising quality.

Contract Management

• Oversee the development of specifications, invitation of bids, and execution of technical and commercial evaluations for project contracts.
• Participate in techno-commercial negotiations with bidders alongside the Procurement team, ensuring contracts are administered and closed as required.
• Evaluate the performance of service providers/contractors to secure high-quality, cost-effective, and timely project completion.

Cyber Security

• Collaborate with the Information Security Officer to ensure I&O contributes to and applies the security strategy.
• Operate a formal governance mechanism to establish and monitor effective controls for the processes and functions performed by I&O teams
• Support periodic reviews by audit teams, compliance teams and other risk-related functions as required.

Audits

• Lead and participate in interactions with auditors during various internal and external audits.

General Responsibilities

• Define training needs of the division’s staff based on regular evaluation of skills of proficiency levels.
• Oversee training of the division’s staff ensuring comprehensive understanding of departmental objectives, job responsibilities, plant’s operations, equipment, and systems.

• Set the division’s KPIs in alignment with company objectives.
• Review the outcomes of KPI monitoring to identify trends and areas for improvement.

• Develop and manage the annual budgets for the division and perform through financial tracking to identify spending optimization opportunities and keep the business informed of expected costs and revenues.
