The Role
As our Sales Onboarding Specialist, you'll own the complete onboarding experience for new sales team members, ensuring consistent, high-quality training that sets everyone up for success. This role is perfect for someone who loves helping people succeed and thrives on creating systematic approaches that deliver results.
You'll report to our Sales Manager and work closely with leadership to ensure our growing team maintains the high performance standards that have made us successful.
What You'll Do
- **Own the Sales Onboarding Journey**: Manage the complete 90-day onboarding process for new sales hires, ensuring every milestone is met
- **Ensure Consistency**: Standardize the onboarding experience so every new hire receives the same high-quality foundation, regardless of their background
- **Track Success & Identify Gaps**: Monitor new hire progress, measure onboarding effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement
- **Provide Ongoing Support**: Be the go-to resource for new hires during their critical first 90 days
- **Improve Processes**: Analyze onboarding outcomes and recommend improvements to training materials, timelines, and methods
- **Support Remote Success**: Ensure remote sales hires feel connected, equipped, and confident in their new role
- **Coordinate with Leadership**: Work with the sales team to ensure new hires get proper introductions and setup without overwhelming busy managers
Success Metrics

- Reduce new hire time-to-productivity and time-to-first-sale
- Achieve consistent onboarding completion rates across all new hires
- Improve new hire satisfaction scores and 6-month retention rates
- Free up leadership time by taking full ownership of the onboarding process
- Build scalable systems that can handle increased hiring volume
About You
- You have experience with training, onboarding, or employee development programs
- You understand sales processes and what makes sales people successful
- You're highly organized with excellent follow-through on detailed processes
- You have strong communication skills and enjoy helping people succeed
- You're comfortable working remotely and supporting remote team members
- You're proactive about identifying problems and implementing solutions
- You thrive in fast-paced environments and can balance structure with flexibility
Bonus Points
- Previous sales experience or sales enablement background
- Experience creating training materials or learning programs
- Data analysis skills for tracking and improving onboarding metrics
- Background in customer success or people operations
- Experience with remote-first companies or distributed teams
