WithSecure™ is seeking a Junior Threat Researcher to support our endpoint security solutions. This entry-level role involves assisting with threat research and analysis, conducting simulations, creation and refinement of detection logic, and evaluating telemetry data to help detect threats relevant to our partners and customers.

Role And Responsibilities

As a Junior Researcher, you will:

• Learn to analyze a wide range of threats, including malware, malicious URLs, and phishing emails.
• Contribute to the research of emerging attack techniques and simulate threat scenarios to stay ahead of adversaries.
• Develop and maintain detection logic that powers our endpoint protection and detection & response solutions.
• Participate in the company agile operating model in informing scoping and planning for the firm roadmap
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and other researchers to continuously improve our detection capabilities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of malware analysis, reverse engineering or detection engineering.
• Familiarity with endpoint security technologies (EPP, EDR), is a plus.
• Experience with languages such as Lua, Drools, and Java is a plus.
• Strong English written and verbal skills.
• Residing in Finland and have legal eligibility to work in the country
