Senior Gameplay Programmer (Unreal)

Game Path is working with a dynamic and innovative simulation racing development company based throughout Europe, actively seeking a Senior Gameplay Programmer (Unreal), as the studio looks to further scale the tech team throughout 2024.


The role is permanent and fully remote, though applicants would be expected to be based within Germany during their employment. Full relocation support would be provided to facilitate this.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain high-quality simulation racing game systems using Unreal Engine and C++.
  • Collaborate with the team to design, build, and implement new features and improvements.
  • Ensure performance, stability, and compatibility of the game on various platforms.
  • Debug and fix game issues reported by QA and the player community.
  • Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high coding standards.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and advancements in the industry.


Requirements:


  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine and C++ programming.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and data structures.
  • At least 3 years of experience in game development, (any focus on simulation racing games would be a major advantage)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.


Desired Qualifications:

  • A passion for simulation racing games and a deep understanding of the genre.
  • Experience working with consoles and/or mobile platforms.
  • Experience with physics simulation, artificial intelligence, and networking.
  • A portfolio of previous work demonstrating your skills and experience.
