Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) – Job Description 

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to assist in the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will support cloud operations, security, and automation while working closely with senior engineers to enhance system performance and scalability. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Cloud Infrastructure Management 

• Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining Azure cloud services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and Databases. 
• Monitor and optimize cost, performance, and security of Azure resources. 
• Support Azure Identity & Access Management (IAM), RBAC, and Active Directory. 
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions. 

Automation & Security 

• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep. 
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI. 
• Support security best practices, including firewalls, encryption, and compliance standards. 
• Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues. 

Networking & CI/CD Support 

• Work with Azure Networking services, including VNets, VPNs, Load Balancers, and ExpressRoute. 
• Support CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployment (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). 
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve infrastructure efficiency. 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

• 1-3 years of experience in Azure cloud infrastructure management. 
• Understanding of Azure Compute, Storage, and Networking services. 
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and scripting tools. 
• Knowledge of Azure Security & Compliance best practices. 
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification. 
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). 
• Understanding of logging & monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
