We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior DevOps Engineer to join our clients growing technology team. This position is designed for individuals looking to develop a career in DevOps through hands-on experience, structured mentoring, and real-world exposure to cloud and on-premise environments.

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will work under the guidance of the Lead DevOps Engineer to assist in automating, deploying, and maintaining development and production environments. You’ll support development teams by helping manage infrastructure, build and release pipelines, and system monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the DevOps team in maintaining and improving build and deployment pipelines.
• Assist in monitoring application and infrastructure performance under guidance.
• Help maintain environment consistency through automation and scripting.
• Learn and use tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins).
• Shadow and assist with Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM templates or Terraform.
• Develop basic scripts to automate deployment and configuration tasks.
• Help document systems, processes, and configurations to build shared team knowledge.
• Provide basic support for operational issues and deployment queries from development teams.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to technical discussions at an appropriate level.
• Build foundational knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure) and on-premise virtual environments.
• Work towards an understanding of secure deployment practices and basic DevSecOps principles.

What We’re Looking For:

• Background in general ICT support or a related technical field.
• Strong interest in infrastructure automation, scripting, and cloud services.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or Python) is a plus.
• Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
