Engineering Lead, New Product Area

We’re building a next-generation business platform for cybersecurity that will transform how our partners deliver, manage, and scale F‑Secure’s services. This is a greenfield product – designed from scratch without legacy constraints. You’ll join as a founding engineering lead, contributing directly as a senior fullstack developer while also guiding a small cross-functional team toward first delivery and long-term success.

You’ll have full backing from F‑Secure leadership to drive technical direction, shape the architecture, and move with speed – all while collaborating tightly with a designer, product manager, and fellow engineers.

We work in a hybrid model based in our newly opened Helsinki HQ – designed for modern collaboration and teamworking, complete with a rooftop sauna and a fully equipped gym. Check it out here.

What'll you do?

• Lead a small, agile team (2–3 engineers, plus a designer and product manager) through rapid experimentation and delivery.
• Define and implement the MVP version of the platform with measurable operational impact.
• Architect scalable and modular systems that evolve with our ambitions — from onboarding flows to AI-powered recommendations.
• Build and validate prototypes, even with mock data, to gather early feedback and accelerate learning cycles.
• Design APIs, SDKs, and integration capabilities that allow our partners to embed F‑Secure offerings seamlessly into their own ecosystems.
• Collaborate across teams to manage dependencies without slowing down your roadmap.
• Contribute to the longer-term evolution of the platform’s AI capabilities as the vision matures.
  
  

What are we looking for?

• A technically strong, product-minded leader with experience building greenfield solutions in larger environments
• Hands-on senior developer who loves to build – you actively code and prototype
• Proven success in defining and delivering MVPs with measurable business or user impact
• Experience with backend architecture, integration patterns, and API design
• Familiarity with cloud-based development (especially AWS), and confidence in infrastructure decisions
• Strong collaborator with the ability to align stakeholders in ambiguous or fast-changing settings
• A pragmatic mindset and systems thinking – you can zoom in and out across architecture and product discussion
  
  

Bonus Points For

• Experience building developer platforms or B2B toolkits
• Familiarity with AI-powered features (e.g. recommendation systems, adaptive flows)
• Track record of using AI in product development – including prompt engineering or applied LLMs
• Previous success in founder-style or early-stage technical leadership roles
• Deep knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native infrastructure
