Senior Team Leader – AI Development & Operations | UAE Nationals Only

The Senior Team Leader – AI Development & Operations will lead enterprise-wide initiatives to implement, manage, and continuously improve artificial intelligence solutions and platforms that drive decision-making and innovation across RTA. This leadership role ensures robust operational governance, technical excellence, and alignment with national digital transformation priorities.

Job Purpose:

To lead RTA’s AI development, technical readiness, and operational support, ensuring seamless deployment, scalability, security, and optimal utilization of AI platforms in line with RTA’s vision and UAE’s digital and AI strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the AI Development & Operations Section, overseeing the execution of AI roadmaps and projects.
• Ensure technical readiness, reliability, and performance monitoring of AI solutions and platforms.
• Drive coordination between AI teams and IT infrastructure teams to ensure platform scalability, security, and continuity.
• Supervise the testing, validation, and operational deployment of AI solutions, ensuring compliance with RTA’s standards.
• Manage technical partnerships, vendor contracts, and licensing agreements for AI platforms and tools.
• Ensure data integration for AI use cases and coordinate with relevant departments to maintain data pipelines and platform availability.
• Establish and oversee AI governance frameworks, promoting ethical AI practices and ensuring alignment with national regulations.
• Provide training, documentation, and support to RTA teams on AI platforms and applications.
• Strictly comply with Information Security policies and reporting requirements.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Experience:

• Minimum 11 years of progressive experience in AI, data science, and technical operations leadership roles.
• Strong track record delivering enterprise AI solutions and managing end-to-end AI platforms.

Skills & Expertise:

• Strong leadership experience managing AI, machine learning, and big data analytics teams.
• Deep technical understanding of AI operational environments, platforms, cloud computing, and robotic process automation.
• Proficiency in overseeing technical readiness, monitoring, and scalability of AI platforms.
• Familiarity with UAT processes, AI governance, ethics frameworks, and Information Security protocols.
