About The Role
We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) specialized in iOS, Android, and Mobile platforms to join our dynamic team at Amazon. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining robust test automation frameworks and infrastructure that validate our web, mobile, and Fire tablet experiences. Your primary focus will be on developing automated testing solutions that ensure high-quality releases across multiple platforms, supporting our development and QA teams. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and QA engineers to understand feature implementations and customer use-cases, translating these insights into effective automation strategies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, a strong technical background, and a proactive approach to solving complex testing challenges to enhance the reliability and performance of our products.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in software development testing
- At least 1+ years of experience in building test automation frameworks and tools
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, or Objective-C
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash
- Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools, including Jenkins
- Experience in setting up and maintaining automated test infrastructure for web and mobile platforms
- Familiarity with version control systems (SCM) and integrating testing pipelines
- Understanding of mobile app testing strategies for iOS and Android platforms
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS is a plus
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for web, iOS, Android, and Fire tablet applications
- Collaborate with developers to understand feature design and technical implementation details
- Design and implement test cases that simulate real-world scenarios to ensure product robustness
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment processes
- Integrate automated tests with version control and build systems to enable seamless testing workflows
- Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and identify areas for improvement
- Proactively identify potential vulnerabilities and participate in security testing and hardening efforts
- Assist in migrating local test infrastructure to cloud environments such as AWS
- Champion quality initiatives within the team, advocating for automation and continuous improvement
- Maintain and update automation scripts and test utilities to adapt to evolving product features
