Information about the position

We’re looking for a Senior Python Developer - Marketing Operations to join our automation team. The automation team’s mission is to empower our marketing teams to work smarter, focus on strategic goals, and eliminate time spent on repetitive tasks, including enabling work that humans cannot do. As a Senior Engineer, you will provide technical leadership to the automation team, enabling us to build robust, scalable solutions for marketing. This will support our company's vision of making second-hand the first choice worldwide by growing the Vinted platform and helping us invest our marketing budget efficiently.

In this position, you’ll

Focus on Building Scalable and Durable Solutions for Marketing and Providing Technical Leadership and Mentorship to the Automation Team.

Building Scalable and Durable Solutions:

• Continuous improvement of tools that automate creative asset workflows and optimize marketing channels with bid and budget management.
• Design and implement marketing automation solutions mainly in Python.
• Develop and manage data pipelines, ETLs (Extract, Transform, Load), and consistent databases.
• Create and maintain APIs for data querying and integration.
• Leverage cloud computing platforms (specifically Google Cloud Platform/GCP) to ensure scalable and durable infrastructure.
  
  

Providing Technical Leadership and Mentorship:

• Offer direction and expertise to the engineering team to foster the development of scalable solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices, high code quality, and efficient project management.
• Mentor peer engineers, helping them grow in their roles and improve their core technical skills.
• Work closely with data and marketing teams to ensure architectural integrity and guide engineering decisions.
• Ensure high-quality code and architectural integrity.
  
  

About You

• Strong background in Python development with a focus on automation solutions for marketing.
• Experienced in API development and data manipulation using tools like Pandas.
• Proficient in using Git for version control.
• Experienced with SQL, relational database design, and BigQuery for database management.
• Familiar with cloud computing platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Airflow, DBT, PySpark, and Google Scripts is a plus.
• Familiar with python/js backend frameworks like Django/FastAPI.
• Familiarity with Google Ads, Meta, TikTok APIs. Interest in advertising and curiosity about new tools and innovations.
• Ability to balance practical approaches with high-quality code production based on project needs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive complex projects to completion.
• Project management experience is a plus, ideally with tools like Jira.
