Senior BI Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Senior BI Analyst in Ukraine to expand our team of experts dedicated to helping our clients achieve digital transformation through data across various industries.

Responsibilities


  • Define and organize elicitation and discovery activities to involve business and IT stakeholders
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and interviews to identify and prioritize business needs
  • Transform business needs into actionable requirements and collaborate with the delivery team throughout the project lifecycle, acting as a bridge between Product Owner and Business Analyst roles
  • Perform data profiling, assessment, and discovery
  • Create prototypes to address business needs and confirm their relevance with stakeholders before proceeding with large-scale production using mockup, prototyping, or data visualization tools
  • Lead Sprint review sessions or User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with customer stakeholders
  • Partner with customer stakeholders, delivery managers, and technical leads during the design phase of data products addressing business objectives
  • Develop training and support materials to enhance stakeholder adoption of deliverables, including training sessions and promotional content


Requirements


  • 5+ years of experience in data-focused roles involving data-driven and analytical projects
  • 3+ years of experience working with requirements in BI, data, or analytics-related projects (e.g., defining, analyzing, prioritizing)
  • Proficiency in translating business needs into data requirements and validating these requirements through visualizations
  • Background in end-to-end data and analytics project delivery utilizing both Agile and waterfall approaches (e.g., reporting/BI, advanced data solutions)
  • Knowledge of modern data visualization tools to prototype and visualize solutions
  • Familiarity with data profiling and discovery tools, incorporating industry best practices
  • Capability to take ownership of outcomes and guide developers toward successful project results
  • Understanding of Proof of Concept, Minimum Viable Product, and Minimum Lovable Product concepts
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain deliverables to senior stakeholders and manage expectations effectively
  • Experience collaborating with business and IT stakeholders as well as end users
  • Knowledge of trends and developments in data and analytics


Nice to have


  • Proficiency in prototyping data solutions
  • Industry background in Finance, Insurance, Oil and Gas, Supply Chain, or Marketing
  • Background in roles such as Product Owner or Data Product Owner for analytical projects
  • Skills in wireframing and prototyping using tools like Figma
  • Expertise in building data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or other modern visualization tools
  • Experience facilitating on-site workshops with customers
  • Understanding of working with cloud-based data solutions on platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Capabilities in applying mathematical and numerical analysis, with knowledge of basic data visualization concepts, hypothesis testing, data mining, clustering, and regression
