A leading organisation requires a number of Junior Cisco Network Engineers to join its growing team supporting its network infrastructure and production services.

Suitable candidates will have the following:

• Proven experience working within a networked environment on Cisco equipment.
• Firm understanding of how accreditations and standards (PCI, EMV, ISO, etc) impact on network security principles.
• Experience producing and maintaining network topology diagrams to a very high standard.
• Good level of exposure on Azure Networking such as Firewalls, NSGs and VNETs
• Excellent communication skills.
• Have a huge amount of integrity, you’ll be working with sensitive information and integrity is key.
• Be agile and flexible in your approach while working within a collaborative environments.

Duties will include:

• To audit and ensure the security of networks through regular review, patching, upgrading and monitoring of network devices in order to detect and neutralise network vulnerabilities, and ensure that the performance of systems and services hosted on the network is maintained at optimum levels.
• To be responsible for implementing or guiding the implementation of projects which are identified as requirements by the department or another area of the business as in the above paragraph.
• To be able to react competently and effectively in situations where a system, service, or services require troubleshooting as described above and to provide ad-hoc support for IT across the business at varying levels of complexity.
• To be able to work under your own initiative within the organisations policy framework in their day to day job and be required, from time to time, to develop or improve departmental policy and procedure and contribute to the development of procedure which will impact outside of their own department.
