Your Role

We're looking for a hands-on Head of Technology / Tech Lead to lead engineering across our digital assets product suite. You’ll work closely with the Digital Assets Product Director to deliver reliable and scalable crypto infrastructure, supporting everything from on-chain wallet flows to fiat conversions and trading execution.

This is not a purely managerial role — you’ll be expected to contribute directly to building the platform, especially in the early stages. You will define technical architecture, own key systems, lead by example in code and technical decision-making, and help grow a world-class engineering team.

What You’ll Do

Be Hands-On from Day OneActively contribute to the development of key digital assets infrastructure and services.

Set the technical direction while also writing production-quality code, conducting reviews, and building prototypes.

Take ownership of early architecture decisions, internal tooling, and core backend systems.

Own the Technology StackDesign and maintain the architecture for all digital asset services: wallet infrastructure, custody integration, payment rails, and exchange functionality.

Make decisions on languages, frameworks, infrastructure, and tooling that balance delivery speed with long-term reliability.

Ensure uptime, system integrity, and scalability as user and transaction volume grows.

Lead the Engineering TeamBuild, manage, and mentor an engineering team focused on digital assets products.

Set high standards for code quality, documentation, CI/CD, and testing practices.

Foster a culture of technical excellence and strong collaboration with product and compliance.

Deliver Core Crypto FeaturesOwn the engineering delivery for wallet funding, crypto deposits/withdrawals, real-time asset conversions, staking, and custody-related operations.

Drive integrations with external vendors such as custody, liquidity providers, and compliance tools.

Translate product requirements into technical plans and deliverables in collaboration with the Product Director.

Infrastructure, Security & OpsEnsure secure architecture for key management, asset segregation, and blockchain interactions.

Lead incident management, observability setup, disaster recovery, and audit support.

Implement operational controls and monitoring to meet regulatory and internal risk expectations.

What You’ll Bring

Required:8+ years of backend engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.

Proven success building and scaling backend platforms — ideally in crypto, fintech, or trading.

Hands-on expertise with wallet management, custody solutions, key handling, and crypto protocols.

Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), security best practices, and DevOps workflows.

Strong communication skills — you can align business, product, and tech priorities clearly.

Nice to Have:Experience working with Fireblocks or similar custody platforms.

Experience working with Kiln or similar staking providers.Familiarity with regulated environments (SCA, FCA, MiCA).

Experience scaling systems that handle real-time transactions, settlement, and on-chain operations.

Background in building internal APIs and tools to support customer-facing platforms.
