Senior Data Scientist

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Day to Day Operations

• Perform exploratory data analysis to achieve a better understanding of the business problem as well as to discover untapped areas of growth and optimization
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges and act as a technical advisor to the business teams
• Advocate business team on what analytic features and functions are possible with current data assets and/or what must occur to advance the use of data in the digital products.
• Proactively investigate new technologies and algorithms to follow the best and state-of-the-art industry practices
• Drive data science and analytics development activities
• Be responsible for planning and timely delivery of ML and DL Modules
• Contribute to the team’s research activities
• Mentor less experienced Data Scientists and act as an influential SME

Ai/ML

• Build pipelines
• Develop and integrate algorithms/packages into the platform
• Add new ML models to the SAAL platform marketplace
• Develop customer-centric AI/GenAI solutions
• Work closely with Product, Support, and Success teams to understand customer needs and contribute to the successful roll-out of the tools
• Own the full development cycle - from concept, through research, design, implementation, and deploying to production

• Utilizes state-of-the-art, best-in-class tools, techniques and methods to deliver technical presentations to peers, leadership team, sales executives, clients, prospects, etc.
• Works collaboratively with various internal stakeholders to bring in synergies to the solution architecture, implementation plan, optimized delivery model and costing.

Leadership

• Manage team members by planning their utilization, communication, overseeing their performance, training, and development to ensure high levels of engagement and competence.

• Motivate one’s own team and identify opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programs and projects that reflect international best practice and changes in the competitive environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
• Certifications in any technology streams are preferred

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 8-10 years or more experience in similar field, at least 5 years of leading the function

Job-Specific Skills:

• Hands-on programming skills with Python or R
• Expert knowledge of machine learning algorithms
• Experience in applying Machine Learning and Deep Learning (Forecasting, NLP)
• Specialization in applied NLP and any experience working with the LLM’s is a plus
• Familiarity with Machine Learning frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Torch, H2O
• Knowledge of SQL and experience in handling large databases
• Knowledge of visualization tools like Excel or Tableau
• Excellent communication skills
