About The Team You Are Joining

Reporting to the Principal Data Scientist, the Intern Data Scientist will work within the Data Science team and support the technical implementation of cross-divisional data science solutions to use cases that span across multiple business areas. The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and understanding of statistical modelling, machine learning, and data analysis techniques.

What Your Day Would Be Like

You will be an integral part of the I&D Data Science team, and your main responsibilities will include:

• Contributing and assisting with the project management of the data science portfolio, including the monitoring and tracking of project progress, timelines, and deliverables.
• Collecting and cleaning data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Conducting analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions by leveraging data science methods.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of statistical modeling and machine learning solutions that integrate with existing systems and processes.
• Supporting the generation of actionable insights using machine learning models by working with data from multiple data sources.
• Supporting engagement activities as email communications, preparation of slides, visualizations, and other presentation materials for key internal and external meetings related to Data Science.
  
  

We would love to hear from you if

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or business.
• Passion and curiosity for data, whether from coursework, personal projects, or previous internships/work experience.
• Knowledge of machine learning, e.g. natural language processing techniques, generative AI, deep learning algorithms for regression, classification, time-series forecasting or clustering problems.
• Good knowledge of Python/R and SQL programming.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including professional proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) in English.
