Application Design Engineer

Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled technical pre-sales specialist to join our team and drive the adoption of Machine Automation . You will work closely with our global sales teams to provide technical expertise and solutions guidance to customers and partners within the [Packaging, F&B, Intralogistics].

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full technical support to machine automation projects of our OEM customers in Izmir region
• Design the solution, develop the application software, test and debug the same at OEM site.
• Support OEMs in selection, testing, commissioning, installation of our products and solutions
• Understand the customer needs and take necessary actions to create appropriate solutions and forward the potential opportunities to the sales team
• Transfer the advantages, superiorities and technical features of the products to the customers
• The whole customer will follow the sales process
• Take a pro-active approach to customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Enablement: Support the sales team in winning customers and projects. Provide solution support to internal teams and external parties, including manufacturers, system integrators, and end users. Assist customers in developing their own solutions.
• Customer Engagement: Understand customer challenges and tailor solutions. Conduct discovery sessions, workshops, and roadmap discussions. Lead projects and site deployments. Execute project programming off-line and onsite testing process .
• Technical Ownership: Design and build solution architecture. Create technical documentation and guides. Validate large-scale projects. Optimize system architecture and scalability.
• Training and Advocacy: Support training needs. Create white papers, best practice guides, and case studies. Represent the company in industry forums. Develop technical marketing content.

Deliverables

• Machine software: Build and maintain OEM machine software. Personalize machine software to customer needs. Handle Q&A.
• Workshops: Host training sessions. Apply design guidelines. Address challenges.
• System Architectures: Design, implement, and test solutions. Attend to site machine testing with costumer.
• Project Support: Assist customers and integrators in project execution. Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Documentation: Document processes and changes. Create use cases and success stories. Share knowledge.

Education, Experience, and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related fields.
• Background in vertical packaging, motion and servo applications.
• Knowledge of Industrial Internet of Things and the convergence between IT and operational technology.
• Experience with programming languages like C/C++, Python, and JavaScript is advantageous.
• Hands-on knowledge of industrial protocols such as Sercos, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, PROFINET, and EtherNet/IP.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex technical concepts for engineers, customers, and executives.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging both technical and business audiences.
• 5 years of experience in automation solution development and programming within the vertical packaging industry.

Travel

This role will require approximately 30-50% travel
