Senior Data Analyst

You will join our Data Team and a large organization with more than 400 data enablers in 70 different countries.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for assisting decision-making, transforming Decathlon into a data-driven company, and working with stakeholders and business units to give insight, foresight and guidance.

Qualifications:

• Having a Bachelor's Degree in related departments (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics etc.)
• At least +5 years of knowledge and experience in a similar area
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Strong sense of organization and planning
• Knowledge of relational database theory
• Hands on experience with data modeling and architecture
• Good at analyzing and able to interpret large amounts of data and to be able to multitasking
• Proficient in programming skills: A statistical programming language, like R or Python, and must have a database querying language like SQL, Databricks
• Excellent understanding of statistics: familiar with statistical tests, distributions, maximum likelihood estimators, etc.
• Experience with data visualization tools and is an expert for Tableau
• Knowledge of Amplitude, GA or any other digital analytics platform
• Skilled in AWS, DBT or Airflow structures
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrates strong team spirit and enjoys collaborating within a global network.

Responsibilities:

• Guarantee the reliability and quality of data and analysis and improve
• Develop dashboards with different data resources, turning data into insight
• Offer in-depth feedback during code reviews, emphasizing optimization, performance, and maintainability
• Regularly mentor others (even outside the immediate team), improve team and community practices, and promote peer growth
• Visualize data & create & cross-functional reporting for related business units with key performance metrics, trends & alerts
• Extract data from internal & external sources and tools
• Create documentation templates and enforce their adoption by colleagues
• Work with business units, understand their needs and provide the right information
• Work closely with the global data team, keeping up with global data trends
• Provide training for employees in the analytics tools to ensure their autonomy
• Proactively identify unexpressed or future business needs to help the organization become more data-centric
• Keep up to date on data science evaluations and creation of long-term projects
• Extend & enrich the company’s data with third-party sources of information when needed
