Role Overview

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in robotics systems to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable infrastructure that supports the development, testing, and deployment of our full autonomy stack. This is a hands-on role that spans cloud environments, embedded systems, and continuous integration pipelines—critical to ensuring the reliability, speed, and scalability of our robotics development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable infrastructure to support software development and deployment for robotic systems.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployment across real and simulated environments.
• Implement containerization and orchestration solutions using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with robotics and software engineers to integrate DevOps best practices across teams.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and system performance issues in both fielded and development systems.
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance using modern observability tools and metrics.
• Implement and enforce infrastructure security and compliance best practices.
• Automate configuration management using tools like Ansible or similar frameworks.
• Create clear and maintainable documentation for infrastructure setups, pipelines, and deployment workflows.
• Provide internal support for infrastructure and deployment-related challenges across robotics platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, with exposure to robotics systems or embedded platforms.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in real-world environments.
• Familiarity with robotics middleware like ROS or ROS2.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience deploying systems on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Version control expertise with Git and associated workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering teams.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience working on autonomous ground robotics systems.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
• Understanding of SIL/HIL testing environments in robotics.
