Senior Data Scientist / AI Engineer - Join the World’s Second-Largest Stock Exchange

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working with data engineers to pull data from large, disparate and multi-modal data sources
• Working closely with colleagues to develop relevant features from the data to feed into AI models
• Taking requirements and utilising a range of AI techniques and models to address them. Including developing models to detect anomalies, identify and describe suspicious patterns of activity, summarise and classify unstructured information and so on.
• Working with clients to deploy and test AI models in beta environments
• Working closely with product teams to set NTS' short- and long-term AI strategy
• Taking a lead role in developing and delivering Nasdaq's Trade Surveillance AI strategy
• Designing, documenting and implementing a model review governance process for NTS business

REQUIREMENTS:

• Be an expert in data science / machine learning / AI
• Have experience working with LLMs and 'Big' Data
• Have a proven track record of developing models that run in production environments
• Have good problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
• Have excellent communication skills to be able to explain technical concepts to both AI experts as well as those with very little AI knowledge
• Be self-driven and able to work on their own as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to research principles and methods

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience setting up and leading a data science / AI function
• Some understanding/experience with product design/development practices
• Knowledge/Experience of financial markets and/or trade surveillance
