DevOps Engineer (Ref:c68Dn)

We are looking for our client, a fast-growing IT company with a global presence and over 16,000 employees, a hands-on DevOps Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings strong technical skills in system automation, infrastructure-as-code, cloud orchestration, and DevOps best practices.

Objectives

• The Application Engineering team is currently working on the redesign and modernization of the Traffic Management System, transitioning from a monolithic architecture to a cloud-native microservices-based solution. The role is part of an international team distributed across Romania, Dtiz, and Oslo, focused on DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
• Responsibilities
• Deploy, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes clusters (Rancher RKE2).
• Customize and manage monitoring systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana.
• Maintain and support infrastructure platforms such as VMware vCenter and Cloud Foundry.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and Git.
• Implement IT provisioning and configuration management solutions using Ansible and Terraform.
• Support DevSecOps practices including artifact management, code quality checks, and security compliance tools (e.g., Artifactory, Sonar).
• Write and maintain scripts in Python, Shell, or Groovy to automate operational tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to infrastructure, deployment, or performance.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery in a cloud environment.
• Administer and monitor databases and messaging systems such as PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Kafka.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Rancher RKE2.
• Solid understanding of monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.
• Proficiency in VMware vCenter and Cloud Foundry.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or Groovy.
• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools: Ansible, Terraform.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Git workflows.
• Working knowledge of DevSecOps principles and tools (e.g., Git, Artifactory, SonarQube).
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/SQL) and messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis).
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills in English - both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of IT security concepts, including SSL, PKI, and tools like HashiCorp Vault.
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure, including firewalls and switches.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, using tools like Jira and Confluence.
