About the Opportunity:

We're on the lookout for a Back-End Engineer with strong Golang skills and hands-on experience with Stripe to join us on a major billing infrastructure transformation. This role will be central to migrating our systems from Zuora to Stripe, and building scalable, high-performance services that support our global business.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—product, design, and front-end (React)—while mentoring engineers and shaping technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the back-end effort in migrating from Zuora to Stripe
• Design, build, and maintain scalable back-end services using Golang
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to deliver seamless payment experiences
• Build reliable and well-documented APIs for billing, invoicing, and subscription management
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers, driving engineering best practices
• Optimize system performance using NSQ, MySQL, Memcached, and more
• Ensure quality with code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows
• Partner with product to turn business needs into robust technical solutions

Required Qualifications

• Proficient in Golang (and ideally experienced with Python, Java, or Node.js)
• Hands-on experience with Stripe APIs in production
• Skilled in designing and operating distributed systems
• Passionate about clean code, testing, and documentation
• Effective communicator across technical and non-technical teams
• Experienced with Git, GitHub, and modern DevOps practices

Nice To Have Skills

• Bonus: familiarity with Zuora, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
