Job Purpose

Lead the design, governance, and optimization of scalable, secure data architecture enabling AI, big data, and smart city initiatives across RTA.


Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and manage enterprise data platforms (AI, GIS, big data)
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using NiFi, Airflow, Informatica
  • Implement data lakes/lakehouses for structured/unstructured data
  • Integrate data across clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise
  • Enable AI/ML workflows with reliable data pipelines
  • Define data governance, metadata, and data quality standards
  • Collaborate across data science, engineering, and governance teams
  • Ensure compliance with UAE data privacy and security laws
  • Lead data migration, modernization, and AI readiness


Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science / IT / Engineering (Relevant field)

Experience:

  • 11+ years in data architecture, platform engineering, or AI systems
  • Proven delivery in enterprise data projects and hybrid/agile setups

Technical Skills:

  • Databases: SQL / NoSQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Neo4j)
  • Cloud & Big Data: AWS, Azure, GCP, Spark, Hadoop
  • Programming: Python, R | AI tools: TensorFlow, PyTorch
  • Visualization: Power BI, Qlik, Microsoft Fabric
  • Security: Data encryption, access control, tokenization
  • DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes | Bonus: LLMs, Vector DBs
