We are seeking an experienced Databricks Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our data and analytics solutions using the Databricks platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of distributed computing, data engineering, cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and big data frameworks such as Apache Spark. As a key technical leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure and empowering data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions on Databricks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine data architecture and analytics strategies.
• Implement data pipelines, workflows, and machine learning models using Apache Spark and Delta Lake on Databricks.
• Guide teams in best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Integrate Databricks with enterprise systems, BI tools, and cloud-native services.
• Lead performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Databricks jobs and clusters.
• Provide architectural governance and ensure compliance with data security and governance policies.
• Mentor data engineers and developers on Databricks tools, frameworks, and practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and frameworks to support evolving data needs.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 5-7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or similar roles.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Experience with one or more cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or SQL.
• Deep understanding of distributed computing principles and big data architectures.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and performance optimization.

Preferred:

• Databricks certification (e.g., Databricks Certified Data Engineer, Architect).
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming (Kafka, Structured Streaming).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code).
• Familiarity with ML lifecycle tools like MLflow, Feature Store, and Unity Catalog.
