Security Officer

A global company specializes in rugged, high-performance Ethernet switches, routers, and time servers designed for high-demand environments, particularly in the aerospace and defense sectors. Their products support precise time synchronization, secure data communication, and reliable operation under extreme conditions, adhering to military standards for shock, temperature, and vibration. The company serves a worldwide client base, offering customized networking solutions for ground, airborne, and naval applications. They have a team of approximately 20 permanent employees, mostly based in Oslo, with a small team in the United States, and work with around 10 external consultants on embedded systems projects.

• Proprietary protocols for high-precision timing and synchronization (PTP/gPTP)
• Comprehensive network and software engineering services

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in cybersecurity/IT security
• Strong background in network equipment configuration and setup for switches/routers
• Preferably holds a Master’s degree
• ISO 27001 certification knowledge
• Experience with network design is beneficial

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an Information Security Management System (ISMS) to meet ISO 27001 standards
• Lead ISO 27001 compliance implementation within the organization
• Ensure product security across network equipment for high-demand sectors like aerospace and defense
• Conduct security evaluations at both the product and IT systems level
• Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) for products
• Manage Microsoft Intune and oversee IT systems (parts are outsourced)
• Lead incident response and handling
