Data Engineer

At Winning Consulting, we are on the lookout for a Data Engineer to be part of our dynamic team. This role involves working on an exciting project for one of our key clients in the service sector in Lisbon (Hybrid).

Responsabilities:

• Designing, developing, and optimizing data products, data models, and pipelines that enable efficient data consumption across teams, enhancing business intelligence and analytics.
• Workiing with modern cloud-based data architectures, including data Lakehouse, to ensure security, scalability, reliability, and cost-effective data storage and processing.
• Leverage version control and CI/CD pipelines to streamline data development.
• Implementing best practices for data quality and performance.
• Applying best practices for data engineering and analytics while optimizing and managing data transformations.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business teams, to translate business needs into efficient data solutions.
• Partner with the Data Hub Team to ensure development adheres to standards and utilizes the latest technologies, ensuring data quality, compliance, and security are in place at launch and maintained over time.

Technical skills:

• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling and designing ETL workflows.
• Expertise in Snowflake.
• In-depth knowledge of modeling data with dbt.
• Experience with cloud-based data architecture (preferably AWS).
• Programming languages knowledge such as Python or R.
• Profiencey in using tools for version control and managing CI/CD workflows, such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Data visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableu.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
