Senior/Lead Android Engineer

Our client, a leading expert in the development and implementation of comprehensive anti-eavesdropping solutions, provides services to government agencies, emergency services, and public authorities globally. With teams operating across multiple countries, they secure enterprise information and applications on widely used mobile devices and platforms, ensuring the protection of both business and personal data.

The heart of this project lies in revolutionizing the user experience and boosting core functionalities, ensuring our solution holds a strong competitive position.

IF YOU ARE

  • Strongly proficient in Kotlin, maintaining and refactoring legacy code
  • Confident in Java and Java/Kotlin interoperability
  • Skilled in building complex and responsive user interfaces with Android UI frameworks (e.g., XML layouts, Jetpack Compose)
  • Strong in annotations for code generation, dependency injection (e.g., Dagger/Hilt), or other relevant frameworks
  • Adept at working with JSON-RPC based APIs (no direct REST calls from UI, but understanding of client-server flows is needed)
  • Pretty aware of architectural patterns
  • Proficient with Git version control
  • Familiar with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications
  • Skilled in problem-solving, debugging, and analytics
  • Aware of C/C++ for potential low-level integrations (as an advantage)
  • Familiar with Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for push notification implementation (nice to have)
  • Experienced with real-time communication protocols like WebSockets (as a benefit)
  • Competent in unit and instrumentation testing frameworks like JUnit, or Espresso (would be a plus)
  • Versed in performance optimization and memory management on Android (optional)
  • Accustomed to working with of effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Fluent in maintaining daily communication with English-speaking software engineers on the client side

  • Participate in tech department management and planning
  • Influence strategic decisions, and managing project roadmaps
