Minimax Viking Products Group GmbH, an international company with over 700 employees and operations in more than 15 countries, is seeking a dynamic Product Manager, Gas to join the Gas Product Portfolio. The Product Manager Gas will be responsible for the business management of entire product family and for its commercial success.
This role is focused on Gas products.
Objectives:
Strategic activities:
- Own results – Responsible for sales, profit, and market share of the product family. Work with sales to grow the business and stay within budget.
- Plan and prioritize – Help define product plans, roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, and ROI forecasts with key stakeholders.
- Know the market – Research customer needs, competitors, and industry trends. Stay in touch with the market through visits, events, and internal feedback.
- Track performance – Review product performance regularly and fix blockers like low availability or limited market reach.
- Find partners – Spot external partners to fill product gaps faster and more efficiently.
Inbound activities:
- Improve the range – Support product updates, new developments, and phase-outs based on company strategy.
- Lead product ideas – Define what the product should do, how much it should cost, and how long it should take to develop. Make sure the outcome matches the plan.
- Support execution – Act as project sponsor. Help teams stay on time, on budget and aligned with the product goals. Provide input during development and approve final design.
Outbound Activities:
- Support sales – Help define key product messages and value to support sales efforts and customer decisions.
- Launch products – Lead product launches: messaging, materials, pricing, promotion, training, and tools.
- Track results – After launch, review feedback and sales data. Propose improvements where needed.
- Work with the field – Stay close to sales and marketing teams. Respond to their needs and align on strategy.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of product & system designs, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer and troubleshooting
- Support the technical writing team in preparing product’s technical instructions
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to communicate project status, key metrics, and future initiatives
Portfolio Organization Management:
- People Management – while this position typically does not involved management of direct reports, it will however provide direction and mentorship to members of the Product Portfolio teams.

- Leadership: Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team towards a common goal.
- Strategic Vision: Strong capability to envision the future state of the product portfolio and align it with business objectives.
- Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into successful product strategies.
- Execution Excellence: Strong track record of driving product initiatives from concept to market success.
- Financial Acumen: Proficiency in managing budgets, forecasting, ROI calculations and ensuring product profitability.
- Marketing Attitude: Ability to communicate effectively the product value to different target audience.
- Product knowledge: Detailed knowledge of the subjected product family and of the associated industry or, in alternative, same level for technologically similar products and a proven agility to become product matter expert.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- A minimum of 3 years business experience in product management is preferred. Experience from the fire protection industry is preferred.
- Experience in introducing new products to a regulated industry is required.
- Experience interacting with key customers and sales teams is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills are required.
- Ability to travel for business to both domestic and international destinations.
- Experience with products for the global market is preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English. German is a plus.
This position requires to collaborate with remote peers in different time zones and, to a reasonable level, business travels to understand requirements, meet with customers and other market players and attend industry events.
