Key Accountabilities

• Lead and oversee the implementation and enhancement of GIS-related projects within the enterprise.
• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of GIS applications, databases, and web services.
• Conduct advanced root cause analysis and diagnostics to resolve complex GIS system issues.
• Provide technical guidance to GIS System Analysts in troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Manage and prioritize GIS-related reports, requests, and service escalations.
• Define and enforce best practices for GIS system performance monitoring and optimization.
• Design, develop, integrate, and optimize enterprise GIS applications and web services.
• Lead the enhancement of GIS functionalities, ensuring system scalability and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define GIS requirements and implement innovative solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration between GIS platforms and other enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain APIs, web services, and mobile GIS applications to support business objectives.
• Ensure GIS data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with organizational and industry standards.
• Develop and enforce policies, strategies, and processes for efficient GIS data management.
• Oversee GIS data governance, metadata management, and version control.
• Lead initiatives to automate data validation and improve GIS database structures.
• Maintain and enhance GIS system documentation, including operational manuals and policies.
• Develop guidelines and best practices for GIS application usage and troubleshooting.
• Train and mentor GIS System Analysts and other team members on GIS technologies and methodologies.
• Conduct technical workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance GIS expertise across the team.
• Generate and analyze system performance reports, ensuring proactive issue identification and resolution.
• Provide executive summaries and recommendations for GIS system enhancements based on data insights.
• Track and report GIS system changes, enhancements, and ongoing projects.
• Present periodic health check reports and key performance metrics to management.
• Assist in developing the GIS roadmap, aligning GIS initiatives with business objectives.
• Research and evaluate emerging GIS technologies and trends to drive innovation.
• Provide recommendations for system upgrades, process improvements, and future GIS initiatives.
